Getting paid

Terminalbash
1aile wallet
2aile wallet --json

One account has one wallet, minted when you first sign in. Earnings arrive there in USDC on Solana. Where the deployment takes payments on Base or Tempo, you also have an EVM wallet for those.

The client never handles a private key

The key lives in the wallet provider's secure enclave, outside this program, any file on your machine, and Aile's servers. What Aile holds is signing authority: it can move your funds on your behalf, which is how settlement, conversion and withdrawal work.

What aile wallet shows

Balance: read from chain. A value that cannot be read shows as unknown, never as $0. Telling you that you have nothing when the RPC was unreachable is the one wrong answer this line refuses to give.

Owed: value already reserved against your balance for requests served but not yet settled on chain. Shown only when there is something owed, with Spendable beside it: the balance less what is owed, a withdrawal still in flight and any held video payment. It is the figure a withdrawal is checked against.

Incoming: sharing earnings counted but not yet paid out. Shown only when there is something incoming.

Opening account: the first payout to a wallet, quoted as an amount; no countdown applies.

Why payouts batch

A Solana transaction fee can cost more than one small request is worth, so payouts accumulate and settle together. The threshold, the maximum age before a sweep runs anyway, and the sweep period are all server settings. The client reads them rather than guessing.

The first payment to each wallet is different: it has to open a USDC token account, which costs far more than a transfer. That is why it is quoted as an amount ($0.50 by default). No amount of waiting releases it; the balance has to clear the threshold. The wait is once per wallet, so earnings that start settling to a new wallet with no USDC account (a sign-in wallet, say) wait for it again. Aile opens at most one new payout wallet every 30 days, your embedded wallet aside, and does not reopen a wallet whose USDC account its owner closed; receiving any USDC there reopens it.

If you signed in with your own wallet

Earnings settle straight to it. There is nothing to withdraw for them and no key of yours is held here. The balance shown is what you added for spending.

Withdrawing

Open /wallet/withdraw on the server in a browser, or the wallet in the dashboard, and paste the destination at the moment you send.

Nothing is kept on file. That is deliberate: with no stored payout address, nobody who reaches your account can point your future earnings somewhere in advance.

Key export is off unless the deployment enables it, so withdrawal is how funds leave. It takes any amount to any Solana address, carries no fee by default, and a request for your entire remaining balance is always allowed: no minimum can strand what is left. The only things held back are money already owed for usage you have had, which settles to the sharers who served it, any withdrawal still in flight, and a paid video render that has not finished.

  • USDC, USDT, $AILE and SOL go out in a transaction whose id is recorded before it is broadcast, so a lost network answer leaves the withdrawal pending until the chain settles it, never sent twice. A SOL withdrawal pays its network fee (0.00001 SOL) out of the SOL. Sending it all empties the wallet; a partial one must leave at least the chain's rent minimum (about 0.00089 SOL) behind.
  • One at a time. A new withdrawal is refused while one from the last three minutes is still pending, and on Base or Tempo while an earlier one there can still land (up to 11 and 6 minutes).
  • USDC can pay, out of the amount, the network cost of the transfer and of opening a USDC account at a destination that has none. An amount too small to cover that is refused and nothing moves.
  • USDT and $AILE never open an account: a destination with no account for that token is refused. Send it any amount of the token first.

Base and Tempo earnings

Where the deployment enables Base or Tempo, you also have an EVM wallet: one address, used on both chains. It is created automatically once you share (a provider account, a node or an MCP listing) and held like the Solana wallet: the key stays with the wallet provider and Aile holds signing authority. It has no export at all.

A caller who pays over x402 or MPP on Base, or over MPP on Tempo, pays that address directly, with no platform fee, as on every x402 or MPP payment. Balance-path earnings still settle on Solana, and nothing on one chain is netted against the other.

Withdraw with the Network option on the dashboard's withdraw card, or network on /wallet/withdraw. Leave it out and the withdrawal is Solana, as above.

tempoTempo's stablecoin (USDC.e on mainnet), to a checksummed 0x… addressthe wallet pays its own network fee in that stablecoin, so $0.01 stays behind

The one-at-a-time rule applies here too, and a transfer is closed only once the chain confirms it.

Where the deployment sells video to callers paying from a wallet (keyless x402), the payment settles when the provider accepts the job, before the render finishes. It lands in a wallet Aile can sign for (your Aile-held Solana wallet, or your EVM wallet on Base; never a sign-in wallet), because if the render fails or expires Aile refunds the caller from that same wallet.

Until the render completes, or its refund confirms, that amount is held: it cannot be withdrawn, spent or converted. The withdraw card shows the Base hold.

The platform fee

On the balance-debit path Aile takes 10% out of the sharer's share (never added to the caller's price), and it is taken on every settlement.

A nodeless serve settles at 15% instead: the base fee plus a 5% egress surcharge, because Aile's egress and proxy pool carried the request rather than your machine. The caller's price is the same either way.

Being paid in $AILE is not a fee waiver

The payout election chooses the asset you are paid in. It has no effect on the rate: every sharer pays the same 10% whatever asset they take. An earlier version of this product waived the fee for sharers electing $AILE; that waiver is retired, and the default is now off, because what the row buys is having your earnings auto-swapped into a volatile token.

The election never changes the destination: settlements pay the same wallet either way. There is no stored payout address field, by design.

Where the fee is waived, it is on configuration facts rather than anybody's preference: a request settled over x402 (or MPP) pays the sharer directly with no platform cut, and a fee address that is unset, invalid, or the same as the sharer's or caller's own collects nothing.

The full arithmetic, including what happens when a caller pays from a $AILE discount tab: Money.

Choosing your payout asset

Switch it in the dashboard's wallet, under Take earnings in $AILE. It is off by default: earnings stay USDC.

The swap runs in a background sweep, deliberately not on the payout path, so a swap that cannot route never blocks a payment. After your USDC settles, the sweep sells what was settled to you, net of the fee, for $AILE through Jupiter, inside your own wallet. Expect up to about an hour between the two. It pauses while Aile's gas wallet runs low, and a sale whose outcome it cannot confirm is never repeated; at worst those earnings stay USDC. A wallet you signed in with yourself cannot be converted, because Aile cannot sign for it.

Each sale shows in your deposit list as converted earnings to $AILE, not as a deposit.
